Afinomaq wins the award Exportation & Internationalization
Following his exporting strategy and the attribution by the IAPMEI of the status PME Lider,
AFINOMAQ, Lda. was the winning company of the category "Revelation" by the jury of the Awards
Exportation & Internationalization, one initiative of the BANCO ESPIRITO SANTO and the
newspaper JORNAL DE NEGÓCIOS, with the support of COFACE and Mckinsey & Company.
Delivered on the 7th November in Lisbon, on a ceremony that took place in Hotel Ritz Four
Seasons, these awards distinguish annually the Portuguese companies with the best performance
in the areas of exportation and internationalization.
This initiative is divided in two areas: The Awards Internationalization, which winners were
known in July, and the Awards Exportation, that highlighted now the companies with better
export performance, contributing decisively to the balance of the commercial trade in Portugal.
Among a universe of 270 thousand exporting companies, two thousand were elected to participate
in the Awards Exportation. These two thousand companies have exported 24 thousand million euro,
from a global business volume of 53 thousand million euro, giving employment to 306 thousand
persons.
AFINOMAQ, Lda. won the category "Revelation", for being the company that, in the opinion of the
jury, stood out more in 2010 by innovative and enterprising approach that deals with the
exportation.
The jury of this 1st edition Award, responsible for the evaluation of the applications,
was composed by Alberto Castro, University Catholic of Oporto, Mário Vilalva, Ambassador
of the Brazil in Portugal and António de Melo Pires, President of Auto Europa.
